To all people of conscience and humanity,

My name is Melanie Rochford, I’m based in London and I’m organising this fundraiser to support my friend 19 year-old Mohammed Swaisi and his family in Gaza who are starving while under constant threat of bombardment by Israel.

On our video calls, Mohammed has shared how his family have been displaced many times. Over the past 2 years he has lost his dear father, his uncle and his home at the hands of the IDF. Mohammed’s family of 20 rely heavily on him. This includes two 4-year-old girls Hanoun and Tota, in the photo. Last week Mohammed was shot in the shoulder while trying to get food from the GHF and is now in constant pain.

Two days later his best friend was shot dead at the GHF distribution point. Increasingly he feels his heart is in pieces.

I have never known as sweet and humble a young man as Mohammed. He is desperate, trying so hard to keep the children’s spirits up while they suffer the pangs of constant hunger mixed in with the everyday fear of the bombings.

Whatever you can do to support him, please do it. Donate whatever you can, share his story, visit his insta account: @mohammed.swaisi Humanity is better than this. Now is the time to act. Thank you so much
